Below are the eligibility criteria of various colleges in INDIA.
 

MPPET - Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test

  • Age Limit: Not more than 21 years on October 1 of the year of admission (relaxable by 3 years in case of SC/ST).
  • The candidate is a Citizen of India.
  • The candidate has been educated in an educational institution located in M.P. for at least three consecutive years during the five years period from the year of examination.
  • The candidate is a bonafide resident of M.P.
  • The candidate is a son or daughter:
    • of An employee or a pensioner of the Government of M.P. or an employee of the Government of M.P. who died while in service of these State or an officer of the All India Services borne on the cadre of M.P.
    • A Central Government employee including employee of Defence Establishments, employee of Post & Telegraph Dept. or the Railways or an employee of a public sector undertaking posted and stationed in M.P. on or before January 1, of the year of examination till the date of admission.
    • A person settled in M.P. under any resettlement scheme sanctioned by the Government of India or the State Government of M.P.
  • Candidates should have passed or appeared for the following examinations with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects:
    • 12th Class Examination of 10+2 scheme of Higher Secondary Board, Madhya Pradesh.
    • Any equivalent or higher examination conducted by a recognized Board or a recognized university.
    • Those who have passed final year Diploma in any Engineering branch of Madhya Pradesh Board of Technical Education Bhopal / Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal.

ATIT - Admission Test for IcfaiTech

  • Students securing at least 50% aggregate in class 10+2 examination or its equivalent with pass in each of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects are eligible to appear for ATIT.
  • Final year students of class 10+2 or its equivalent awaiting examination and results may also appear.

AICE - All India Competitive Examination

  • Candidates having passed their Bachelor's Degree (or appearing in final year examination during the year of admission), in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Forestry, Agri. Marketing Banking and Cooperation, Food Science & Technology, Biotechnology, Process & Food Engineering, Computer Science, Basic, and Allied Sciences under 10+2+4 (most seats) or 10+2+3 (only few seats) are eligible to apply for the combined examination for JRF and admission to Master's Degree Programme as per norms of participating Universities.
  • Candidates must have obtained CGPA 6.60/10.00 or 3.25/5.00 or 2.6/4.00 for general & UPS categories and 5.50/10.00 or 2.75/ 5.00 or 2.20/4.00 for SC, ST and Physically handicapped categories.

AICET - All India Common Entrance Test

  • The minimum academic qualification for admission to UG courses through AICET is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (class XII) or equivalent examination or likely to be passed, etc.

AIEEE - All India Engineering Entrance Examination

  • The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

AMIE - Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers

  • For Technician Members: A Candidate can directly become Technician Member if he / she has a minimum qualification of a pass in the Standard XII Examination (45% minimum aggregate).
  • For Senior Technician Membership: For selection as a Senior Technician Member or for transfer from being a Technician Member to a Senior Technician Member, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:
    • A minimum age of 18 years on the date of application for selection or transfer.
    • He / she should be an engineer by profession working under a Corporate Member or a person qualified to be elected as a Corporate Member. The candidate should also be striving to acquire the qualifications for Corporate Membership (temporary unemployment is not an impediment to being elected).
    • The candidate should have passed a diploma examination in engineering or technology or its equivalent recognised by the Council, or an examination recognised by the Council as exempting from passing Section A of the Institution of Engineers examination in the non-diploma stream.

AMIETE - Associate Membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers

  • AMIETE Graduateship: Age not less than 16 years, 10+2 or Equivalent with Physics & Maths and working experience in relevant field OR studying for higher qualification with Physics / Electricals / Electronics / Computer/ Science Engineering. OR Diploma.
  • Diploma (DiplETE): Age not less than 14 years, 10th or equivalent with General Science and working experience in relevant field OR studying for higher qualification with Physics / Maths/ ITI.
    • AMIETE (Degree Level): Examination is recognised by Govt, of India and UPSC for Superior Posts & Services, State Govts, and by a large number of Universities / Institutions for higher education.
    • DiplETE (Diploma Level): Examination is recognised by Govt, of India for Subordinate Posts & Services and a number of State Govts, and Union Territories.

Amrita Schools of Engineering BTech Entrance Exam

  • Age - Candidates should not be less than 17 years and more than 21 years on 1st July of the year of admission
  • Educational Qualification - A pass in 12th standard or second year Pre-University or equivalent examination from CBSE or any State Board or equivalent, with a minimum of 60% marks separately in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
    or
    A Pass in Diploma examination (minimum 3 years duration after passing 10th standard), in Engineering, conducted by any State Board of Technical Education, scoring a minimum of 60% marks.

Annamalai University Engineering Entrance Exam

  • Candidates who are appearing for Higher Secondary OR Equivalent Qualifying Examinations during March - May of the year of admission and Candidates who have already passed H.Sc. OR Other Equivalent Qualifying Examinations are eligible to apply for these Entrance Examinations.

Avinashilingam University for Women Engineering Entrance Exam

  • Candidates should have passed in Higher Secondary Examination (Academic / Vocational Stream) and obtained a minimum aggregate percentage of marks as indicated below for Maths, Physics and Chemistry with 55% for General (OC), 50% for BC/MBC/ and Others, A Pass for SC/ST
  • Only candidate whose date of birth falls on or after July, 01, 1988 are eligible.
  • For SC/ST and Physically handicapped candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.

BEE- Bureau of Energy Efficiency

  • For Energy Managers (EM):
    • A graduate Engineer (Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology) or equivalent with three years of work experience Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology) or involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or equivalent with three years of work.
    • A post-graduate Engineer (Master of Engineering / Master of experience involving use of energy in Technology) or equivalent with two years of work experience operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.
    or
    • A graduate Engineer with post-graduate degree in Management or Engineering/ Master of Technology) or equivalent with two years of work experience involving use of equivalent with two years of work energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or experience involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.
    or
    • A diploma Engineer or equivalent with six years of work experience involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.
    or
    • A post-graduate in Physics or Electronics or Chemistry (with Physics two years of work experience involving and Mathematics at graduation level) with three years of work use of energy in operation, maintenance, experience involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc. planning, etc.
     
  • For Energy Auditors (EA):
    • A graduate Engineer (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology) or equivalent with three years of work experience Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology) or involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or equivalent with three years of work
    • A post-graduate Engineer (Master of Engineering/Master of experience involving use of energy in Technology) or equivalent with two years of work experience operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.
    or
    • A graduate Engineer with post-graduate degree in Management or Engineering/ Master of Technology) or equivalent with two years of work experience involving use of equivalent with two years of work energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.; or experience involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.
    or

    NOTE:
    • Training period will not be considered as Experience.
    • Candidates without requisite experience are not eligible to appear for the examination.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Engineering Entrance Exam

  • The minimum Qualifications for admissions in Degree Engineering Programme : The candidate should be passed in 10+2 (qualifying) examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following optional subject
    • Chemistry
    • Bio-Technology
    • Computer Science
    • Biology
  • The candidate should also have passed in the subjects Physics and Mathematics and optional subject individually and must have obtained at least 50 per cent marks in Physics, Mathematics and any one optional subject taken together at the qualifying exam i.e. 10 + 2 / HSC / equivalent. (For SC / ST candidates 45 per cent).
  • Candidates who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C. etc. but whose results have not been declared will also be considered eligible to appear for CET (Engineering), provided they have offered the above mentioned subjects at the said examinations. However, they should produce marksheet of HSC at time of counselling. The candidates who fail to submit the marksheet of HSC at the time of counselling will not be considered eligible.

BIHER - Bharath University Engineering Entrance Exam

  • A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum average of 60 % of marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB). * A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50 % average marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) for Candidates belonging to SC / ST.
  • Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCB) candidates are eligible for all the Programs.
  • Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) candidates are eligible only for B.Tech, Bioinformatics, Bio - Medical Engineering & Industrial Biotechnology, Bio - Engineering programs.
  • Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examination in March / April, of the year of admission are also eligible to apply.
  • For Lateral Entry: A pass in Diploma / B.Sc (Science Group Only).

BITSAT - Birla Institute of Technology and Science Examination

  • The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and should have adequate proficiency in English.
  • Students who are appearing for 12th examination in the year of admission or who have passed 12th Examination one year before the year of admission only are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2010 test.
  • If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
  • Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2010
  • First rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2010 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2010 score as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above.

BSAUEEE - B.S. Abdur Rahman University Engineering Entrance Examination [ BTech, BArch ]

  • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in mathematics, physics and chemistry.
  • Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

CIPET - Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology Entrance Exam

  • Eligiblity Criteria For Diploma Programs: Maximum age: 19 Years
  • Integrated Programme Plasties Mould Technology (3/4 yrs): 10th Std. with Maths. English and Science. The candidates will have the choice to opt (or 3/4 years Optoma or Post Diploma at the time of admission.
  • Eligiblity Criteria For B.Tech.: Maximum age: 21 years
  • B.Tech. (Plastics Engineering/ Technology) (4 yrs): 10+2 (Academic Stream) with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. (Mininmum 60% aggregete Marks)
  • Eligiblity Criteria For M.Tech.: Maximum age: 35 years
  • M.Tech. (Plastics Engineering/ Technology) (2 yrs): 4 years degree B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Chemical' Production/ Polymer' Plasties Tech / Engg or M.Sc. In Polymer Science / Chemistry with Polymer specialization.
  • M.Tech. (Nano Technology) (2 yrs): 4 years B.E./B.Tech in Plastics Engg/Tech / Polymer / Chemical or M.Sc. in Polymer Chemistry / Physics / Chemistry / Electronics.
  • M.Tech. (CAD CAM/ CAE) (2 yrs): 4 yrs degree in B.E / B Tech in Mechanical Production Plastics Tech / Engg / Tool Engg / Aeronautics / Automobile / Mechatronics.

Delhi CEE - Delhi Combined Entrance Examination

  • For Delhi Region Candidates (85% of quota)
  • A candidate passing any one of the following examinations from the recognized School/College/ Institute located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi only and securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to the First Semester of Bachelor of Engineering Course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C. B. S. E.), New Delhi.
    • Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
    • B.Sc. (Gen.) Group 'A' Final Examination or equivalent examination of the University of Delhi.
    • B.Sc. (Hons.) Examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the University of Delhi with combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and equal weightage to the subsidiary subjects or equivalent examination.
    • Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C. B. S. E. by the University of Delhi.
     
  • For Outside Delhi Region Candidates: A candidate passing any one of the following examinations from the recognized School/ College/ Institute conducting located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi only and securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to the First Semester of Bachelor of Engineering Course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately:
    • Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C. B.S. E.) New Delhi.
    • Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
    B.Sc. (Gen.) Group 'A' Final Examination of the University of Delhi or equivalent examination.
    • B.Sc. (Hons.) Examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the University of Delhi with combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and equal weightage to the subsidiary subjects or equivalent examination.
    • Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C. B. S. E. by the University of Delhi.
     
  • Note: The admission under 15% quota will be made in DCE & NSIT strictly on All India Merit/Rank obtained in AIEEE 2010.
  • A CANDIDATE MUST ADDITIONALLY HAVE PASSED ENGLISH AS A SUBJECT OF STUDY EITHER AT THE 10th CLASS LEVEL OR 12th CLASS LEVEL (CORE OR ELECTIVE).
  • Note:
    • An applicant who has to leave an Engineering Degree Course, or an equivalent course, after exhausting the permissible number of chances in any other University/ Board in India, will not be eligible for admission to Bachelor of Engineering Course.
    • Candidates who have appeared at the Annual Examination of the current year (i.e. year of admission) and placed in compartment will not be eligible for admission for that year.
    • Candidates who have appeared at the Annual Examination of the current year (i.e. year of admission) and re-appear for the improvement to acquire the eligibility will not be considered for admission for that year.
    • Candidates who have passed/ appeared in qualifying examination from Patrachar Vidyalaya or National Institute of Open Schooling will be eligible for admission to Bachelor of Engineering Courses.
    • No admission will be made directly to the second or any subsequent semester of the course.
    • No change of branch will be permitted after the commencement of the second semester, even if some seats fall vacant in some of the branches during the course of second semester.
  • Relaxation in Marks for Reserved Categories: Candidates belonging to the following categories, who apply for seats reserved for them shall be allowed a concession in the minimum eligibility requirements as detailed below:
    • SCHEDULED CASTES (SC) AND SCHEDULED TRIBES (ST): Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be allowed 10 percent concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
    • CHILDREN/WAR WIDOWS OF DEFENCE PERSONNEL/PARA-MILITARY FORCES/ KILLED/ DISABLED IN ACTION (CW): The children and/or widows of personnel of Armed/Para-Military forces killed/ disabled in action during hostilities who apply for seats reserved for them shall be allowed relaxation of 5 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
    • PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED (PH): Candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped category shall be allowed 5 percent concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
     
  • Age Reguirements: Applicant must be minimum 17 years of age on or before the first October of the year in which he/ she seeks admission. Relaxation in minimum age upto one year only with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor is permissible (Such candidates should apply for relaxation only at the time of admission).Candidates who are short in minimum age by more than one year are not eligible for admission.

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute Of Information and Communication Technology

  • The minimum academic qualification for admission is a pass in the 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in the year of admission are also eligible to apply for consideration of provisional admission.
  • All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) to the Institute latest by 30 October of the year of admission, failing which such provisional admission will stand cancelled.
  • If a candidate is found ineligible at a later date, even after admission to DA-IICT, his/her admission will be cancelled.
  • All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. The decision of the concerned authorities of DA-IICT regarding eligibility of any candidate shall be final.
  • A list of qualifying examinations is given below:
    • The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education, including Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
    • Intermediate Science or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
    • Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
    • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
    • High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University.
    • Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
    • H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
    • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
    • Three or four-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
  • Date of Birth: Candidates of age less than 25 years or 25 years on 1st october of the year of admission are only eligible for the test. Date of birth as recorded in the 10 or 10+2 standard Certificate, as issued by the Board/University, only, will be taken as authentic. Candidates must produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling.

Dr.D.Y.Patil Institute All India Entrance Test

  • The Candidate must be either 17 years of age or attain the age at the time of admission.
  • Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, securing minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (PCMB) and English as a subject is compulsory.
  • Candidates with Mathematics will be considered eligible for B.Tech Bioinformatics/B.Tech Biomedical Engineering courses.
  • The Scheduled caste, Scheduled tribe and OBC students shall have relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
  • Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
  • Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.
  • Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

GGSIPU - Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

  • Candidates who wish to appear for the Guru Gobind Sing Indraprastha University B. Tech/M. Tech Entrance test need to have attained a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2 system examinations of CBSE or an equivalent board.
  • Prospective candidates must have passed in all these subjects individually along with English.
  • he age limit of candidates should not be more than 21 years as of 1st August of the year of admission.

IIMS - Indian Institute of Maritime Studies Entrance Exam

  • 15% are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates & 18% are reserved for OBC candidates belonging to non-creamy layer.
  • Candidate should be of 25 years or less than 25 years on 1st october of the year of admission. For SC/ST, candidate should be of 30 years or less than 30 years on 1st october of the year of admission.

IIT JEE - IIT Joint Entrance Examination

  • Candidate should be of 25 years or less than 25 years on 1st october of the year of admission. For SC/ST, candidate should be of 30 years or less than 30 years on 1st october of the year of admission.
  • The date of birth as recorded in the high school/first Board/ Pre-University certificate will be accepted.
  • If the certificate does not mention the date of birth, a candidate must submit along with the application, an authenticated document indicating the date of birth.
  • A candidate must have passed the qualifying exam for the first time, after October of the year (two years before the year of admission) or in the year (one year before the year of admission) or will be appearing in the year of admission. Those who are going to appear in the qualifying exam later than 1st october of the year of admission are not eligible to apply for IIT-JEE.
  • The qualifying examinations (QE) are listed below:
    • The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized central / state Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi; etc.
    • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board / University.
    • Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
    • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
    • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
    • Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
    • H.S.C. vocational examination.
    • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
    • 3 or 4 year Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state Board of technical education.
  • In case the relevant qualifying examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level.
  • Minimum Percentage of Marks in QE Candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their QE. Whereas, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the QE.
  • The percentage of marks awarded by the Board will be treated as final. If the Board does not award the percentage of marks, it will be calculated based on the marks obtained in all subjects listed in the mark sheet.
  • If any Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the equivalent marks, and submit it at the time of counselling/ admission. In case such a certificate is not provided then the final decision rests with the Joint Implementation Committee of JEE
  • Important Points to note:
    • One can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years. That means one should have attempted JEE for the first time in the year before the year of admission or will be appearing in the year of admission.
    • Those who have accepted admission after qualifying in JEE in earlier years by paying full fees at any of he IITs, IT-BHU, Varanasi or ISM, Dhanbad, are NOT ELIGIBLE to write JEE at all irrespective of whether or not they joined in any of the programmes.
    • The year of passing the Qualifying Examination is the year in which the candidate has passed, for the first time, any of the examinations listed above, irrespective of the minimum percentage marks secured.
    • The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/ documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, his/ her admission will be cancelled automatically.
    • If a candidate is expecting the results of the QE in say 2010, his/her admission will only be provisional until he/she submits the relevant documents. The admission stands cancelled if the documents are not submitted in original to the concerned institute before September 30, 2010.
    • If a candidate has passed any of the examinations, listed in Sub-section III.2, before 1st October of the year (two years before the year of admission), he/she is not eligible to appear in IIT-JEE.
    • The decision of the Joint Admission Board of IIT-JEE regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

ISAT - IIST Admission Test

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to appear in ISAT.
  • Candidate should be of 25 years or less than 25 years on 1st october of the year of admission. For SC/ST, candidate should be of 30 years or less than 30 years on 1st october of the year of admission.
  • The date of birth as recorded in the high school/first Board/or its equivalent will be accepted.
  • If the certificate does not mention the date of birth, candidate must submit at the time of Counselling an authenticated document from competent authority indicating the date of birth.
  • ISAT Qualifying Examination (QE): A candidate must have passed the QE for the first time, one year before the year of admission or in the year of admission, provided the results are available before 1st July of the year of admission. Those who are expecting the results of QE later than 1st July of the year of admission are not eligible to apply for ISAT.
  • The qualifying examinations are listed below:
    • The final examination of the 10+2 System, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, Bangalore; Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, Bangalore, etc.
    • Intermediate or 2 Year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
    • Final examination of 2 Year course of the Joint Services Wing of Indian National Defence Academy.
    • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
    • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
    • Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
    • H.S.C. vocational examination.
    • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of 5 subjects.
  • In case the relevant qualifying examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level.
  • Minimum Percentage of Marks in Class X or equivalent examination:
    Candidates belonging to Gen and OBC categories must have at least 70% in all subjects combined and those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must have at least 60%.
  • Minimum Percentage of Marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination:
    • Candidates belonging to Gen and OBC categories must have at least 70% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) papers and those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must have at least 60%.
    • For both Class X and 10+2 examinations, the percentage of marks awarded by the Board will be treated as final. If the Board provides the equivalent percentage of marks against grades, then the candidate has to base his/her calculations in percentage.
    • If a Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the equivalent marks as percentages (total aggregate in Class X and PCM for Class 10 +2), and submit it at the time of counseling. Candidates should produce equivalence certificate if required at the time of counseling.
  • ISAT Reservation of Seats:
    • 15% and 7.5% of the total seats in each program in IIST are reserved for SC and ST categories, respectively.
    • For candidates belonging to OBC category, 27% of the total seats in each program are reserved
    • For candidates belonging to PD category, 3% reservation (horizontal reservation) of seats is allowed at IIST within the overall reservation.

JMI - Jamia Milia Islamia Entrance Exam

  • A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks in Aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in the year of admission can also apply.
  • Also a candidate should be between the age of 17 years and 23 years as on 1st October of the year of admission.

JNTU PACET - Planning and Architecture Common Entrance Test

  • Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.
  • Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh and should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
  • Candidates should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of admission as announced by the committee or on such other date as may be notified by the PACET committee and there is no upper age limit.
  • Candidates should have passed 10 + 2 examination conducted by Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or related Vocational Courses conducted by Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh along with bridge course(s) conducted by it or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, and should have secured not less than 50% marks in the aggregate with Mathematics and English as subjects of examination for admission into 5 - year B.Arch. degree course and not less than 50% marks in the aggregate with any subjects for admission into 4- year B. Plng degree course.
  • Candidates should have passed three years diploma (10+3) in Engineering / Architecture conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or its equivalent there to as recognized by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh and should have secured not less than 50% marks in the aggregate with Mathematics and English as subjects of examination for admission into 5 - year B.Arch. degree course and not less than 50% marks with any subject for admission into 4 - year B. Plng degree course.
  • Candidates appearing for 10+2 final examination or equivalent or final year Diploma examination are also eligible to apply. However, they shall fulfill the criteria stipulated in clauses II (c) (i) or / and (ii) above to be eligible for admission.

Karunya University Entrance Exam [ BTech, BE ]

  • A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination in first attempt with minimum 60% marks aggregate in Physics. Chemistry and Mathematics, 60% in Mathematics is compulsory and should have qualified in KEE. Candidates should not have completed 21 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission.

KEAM - Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Entrance Exam [ BTech ]

  • Engineering Courses: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Bio-technology / Computer Science / Biology put together are eligible for admission. Candidates having Three year Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or equivalent, having 50% marks in the final Diploma examination, are also eligible for admission. However, these Diploma holders are not eligible for admission to the Engineering courses offered by Kerala Agricultural University.
  • Architecture Course:
    • Candidates who have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Mathematics as a subject of examination, with 50% marks in aggregate are eligible.
    • Candidates who have passed Three year Diploma in Engineering or equivalent examination with 50% marks in final Diploma examination are also eligible to apply. In addition the candidates should qualify the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) with 40% marks.
    • Reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC) candidates should have obtained a minimum of 35% marks in NATA, as per guidelines of Council of Architecture.
  • For all courses, a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be allowed to those candidates who belong to the communities listed under the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and whose annual family income is up to Rs. 2.5 lakhs (Rupees Two Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only).
  • The candidate should complete 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission

KIITEE - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam [ BTech, MTech ]

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination one year or two years before the year of admission or appearing in 10+2 examination in the year of admission are only eligible to apply for B.Tech (4 year) course of the University.
  • Should have studied in regular full time formal education in their schooling / college.
  • Pass in 10 + 2 or its equivalent with atleast 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together.
  • The candidate should be between 17 - 21 years of age as on 1st july of the year of admission

MERI - Marine Engineering & Research Institute Entrance Exam

  • 15% are reserved for SC candidates, 7-1/2% for ST candidates & 18% are reserved for OBC candidates belonging to non-creamy layer.
  • Candidates must have passed (10 + 2) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
  • The candidate should be between 17 - 26 years of age as on 1st October of the year of admission. For SC/ST, the candidate should be between 17 - 31 years of age as on 1st October of the year of admission.

MP PET - Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test

  • Not more than 21 years on October 1 of the year of admission (relaxable by 3 years in case of SC/ST).
  • The candidate is a Citizen of India.
  • The candidate has been educated in an educational institution located in M.P. for at least three consecutive years during the five years period from the year of examination.
  • The candidate is a bonafide resident of M.P.
  • The candidate is a son or daughter of:
    • An employee or a pensioner of the Government of M.P. or an employee of the Government of M.P. who died while in service of these State or an officer of the All India Services borne on the cadre of M.P.
    • A Central Government employee including employee of Defence Establishments, employee of Post & Telegraph Dept. or the Railways or an employee of a public sector undertaking posted and stationed in M.P. on or before January 1, of the year of examination till the date of admission.
    • A person settled in M.P. under any resettlement scheme sanctioned by the Government of India or the State Government of M.P.
  • MP PET 2010 Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed or appeared for the following examinations with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects:
    • 12th Class Examination of 10+2 scheme of Higher Secondary Board, Madhya Pradesh.
    • Any equivalent or higher examination conducted by a recognized Board or a recognized university.
    • Those who have passed final year Diploma in any Engineering branch of Madhya Pradesh Board of Technical Education Bhopal / Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal.

NATA - National Aptitude Test in Architecture

  • 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University with Mathematics as a subject of examination with the least 50% aggregate marks.
    or
     
  • 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/ State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
    or
     
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

NERIST - (NEE)

  • Eligibility for NERIST NEE I:
    • 19 years (24 years for SC/ST/PH and 22 years for OBC and female candidates) as on 1st August of the year of admission.
    • Should have passed matric or Class-X examination of 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Science and Mathematics.
    • The candidate should have passed in Science and Mathematics respectively.
    • Candidates appearing in the above mentioned examination, but whose results are awaited may also appear in the NERIST Entrance Examination.
    • A certificate to this effect is to be obtained from the Principal of the school and must be attached with the application. In case, such a candidate is selected, he/she must produce the original pass certificate and marks sheet at the time of his/her admission. Otherwise, his/her admission will automatically get cancelled.
  • Eligibility for NERIST NEE II:
    • 23 years (28 years for SC/ST/PH and 26 years for OBC and female candidates) as on 1st August of the year of admission.
    • For Engineering and Technology Stream: 10+2 PCM/ PCMB, 10+2 Vocational in Electronics/ Farm Machinery & Equipment / Electrical / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Automobile Technology/ Structure & Fabrication Technology/ Computer Science OR NERIST Certificate (E&T). Candidates with 10+2 (Vocational)/ NERIST certificate holders are eligible for admission in Computer Science and Engineering or in their respective branches. 10+2 PCM/PCMB candidate should have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately.
    • For Forestry stream: 10+2 PCB/PCMB, 10+2 (vocational in Forestry/ Horticulture) or NERIST Certificate (Forestry). 10+2 PCB/PCMB candidates should have passed in Physics, Chemistry & Biology separately. Candidates appearing in the above mentioned examination, whose results are awaited, may also appear in the Entrance Examination. A certificate to this effect is to be obtained from the Principal of the school/ college and must be attached with the application. In case such a candidate is selected, he/she must produce the original pass certificate and marks sheet at the time of his/her admission. Otherwise, his/her admission will automatically get cancelled.
  • Eligibility for NERIST NEE III:
    • 40 years (45 years for SC/ST/PH and 43 years for OBC and female candidates) as on 1st August of the year of admission.
    • Diploma holders in the allied discipline/branches as listed in the appendix are also eligible to apply. For admission through NEE-III, a candidate must have passed the 3-year Diploma course from any Government recognized polytechnic in the respective or allied discipline/branch with 60% marks considering the aggregate marks of all the three years, or NERIST Diploma Module. Those appearing in Final year of three year diploma course may also appear in NEE-III for consideration of provisional admission. All provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the final examination with above mentioned percentage is not submitted by the date of counseling. If an applicant is found ineligible at a later date even after admission, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates.

NIT - National Institute of Technology

  • All students aspiring to get admitted to N.I.T must appear for All India Engineering Entrance Examination AIEEE
  • The candidate should have passed the qualifying Examination (i.e.) +2 level (class XII/Intermediate Examination or its equivalent).
  • 50% of the seats in N.I.T Trichy are reserved for Students from Tamilnadu. Rest 50% for students on All India basis.
  • Reservation Policy : OBC - 27%, SC - 15%, ST - 7.5%

NSIT - Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology

  • SAME AS OF DCE (Delhi College of Engineering)(see 'Delhi CEE - Delhi Combined Entrance Examination' section)

PMUET - Periyar Maniammai University Entrance Test

  • B.E/B. Tech (4 year)
    • A pass in 10+2 examination or a pass in one of the HSC (Vocational Stream) with Engineering/Technology
    • Vocational subjects and any ONE or TWO of related subjects like Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry with minimum marks in the relevant subjects.
    • Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) candidates are eligible for all the programmes.
    • Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology candidates are eligible for Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering programmes.
     
  • B.Arch. (5 year)
    • 50 % aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent with English and Mathematics as subjects or a pass in 10+3 Diploma or IB Diploma with 40% marks in NATA.
    • For SC/ST candidates with not less than 45% marks in aggregate with 40% marks in NATA, conducted by COA, New Delhi.
    • Candidates seeking admissions to B.Arch should have taken only NATA examination and not PMUET.
    • Candidates have to submit their filled in application along with an attested copy of the NATA score card.

RPET - Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test

  • The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.
  • Combination of subjects: Physics and Mathematics are compulsory and any one from the following optional subjects Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science and Biology
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2) in the year of admission may also apply.
  • The candidate should be between 17 - 25 years of age as on 1st October of the year of admission. For SC/ST, the candidate should be between 17 - 30 years of age as on 1st October of the year of admission.
  • Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education marksheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

SPA- School of Planning and Architecture

  • Bachelor's Programmes (Architecture/Planning): Admission to Bachelor's Programmes in Architecture/Planning in the School will be made through All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE, strictly on merit (All India Rank) as per the prescribed qualifications notified by CBSE in the newspapers and as per directions of the Government of India.
  • Reservation of Seats: Reservations will be applicable as per rules of the Government of India.

SRM EEE - SRM Engineering Entrance Exam [ BTech, MTech ]

  • The applicant for admission should be a resident Indian national and should have studied in schools located in India in the preceding two years.
  • SRMEEE B.Tech 2010 Courses: A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent and Minimum 60% aggregate in mathematics, physics & chemistry.
  • For bioinformatics, biomedical & instrumentation engineering, bioprocess engineering, biotechnology and genetic engineering: Minimum 60% aggregate in biology, physics and chemistry.
  • Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and mathematics in the SRM EEE are eligible for all the B.Tech. degree programs
  • Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and biology in the SRM EEE are eligible only for B.Tech. biotechnology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, bio process engineering, food process engineering and genetic engineering programs
     
  • SRMEEE B.Arch Courses: A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent having a minimum total aggregate of 60% with English and Mathematics as subjects of study and a minimum score of 40% in Aptitude Test in Architecture (ATA), conducted by SRM University as a part of SRM EEE.

TMI BITS - Tolani Maritime Institute - Birla Institute of Technology and Science

  • The following TMI BITS 2010 criteria have to be met in order to be eligible for admission into the B.S. Nautical Technology & B.S. Marine Engineering Programs at Tolani Maritime Institute:
    • Male candidates who are of age 21 on or before 1st September of the year of the admission are eligible to apply for the test. In accordance with Government of India guidelines, there is a two year age relaxation for female candidates.
    • TMI encourages the participation of both sexes without discrimination.
    • Only unmarried candidates will be considered.
    • You must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (P C M), and At least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII
    • The candidate has to meet these standards to qualify for admission. You are advised to have yourself medically examined by competent doctors before applying. This will ensure that you meet the minimum requirements, which in turn will avoid disappointment at a later stage.
     
  • Note: Candidates for the B.S. Nautical Technology programme must have 6/6 vision in both eyes.

Vinayaka Missions University - Engineering Entrance Exam

  • A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum average of 60% of marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB)
  • A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% average marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and from the North Eastern States of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh
  • Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) candidates are eligible for all the programmes
  • Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) candidates are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Biotechnology & Biomedical Engineering programmes
