ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Below are the eligibility criteria of various colleges in INDIA.
Medical Entrance Exam in Delhi (AIIMS etc)
- 10+2 pass candidates with an aggregate of at least 60% marks in Chemistry, Biology, English and Physics are eligible to apply.
- Candidates awaiting final year results can also apply for admission.
- Students applying should be of at least 17 years of age as on 31.12.YY* (* YY -- One year before year of exam)
- In case of SC/ST and physically handicapped students only 50% marks is required for appearing in the entrance examination.
All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT)
- You must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission.
- The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years.
- The SC, ST and OBC students have the privilege of extending the upper limit to some few more years.
- You can appear in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination for a maximum of 3 attempts.
- Apart from passing Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, you must secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks at the +2 examination. The percentage of marks required drops to 40% for the SC, ST or OBC students.
Vardhman Mahavir Medical College , Delhi
- Candidates who wish to sit for the common admission test need to have passed their Class 12th board examinations of the 10+2 pattern, with an aggregate of 50% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- The candidate should also have had English as a subject in his or her syllabus.
- The university allows Sc or ST candidates with an aggregate of 40% marks to sit for the Common Entrance Test (CET).
BHU PMT/PAT Test
- For admission to the MBBS and B.Pharm courses of Benaras Hindu University, candidates need to pass at least the Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together.
- Candidates should also complete 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) , Pune
- Passed 10+2 Std./Pre-professional/Pre-medical exam. or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board/University as a regular student in the first attempt with subjects of PCB and English securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks in the 3 Science subjects taken together, with 50% marks in each of the Science subjects, and not less than 50% marks in English.
- The candidates must have also passed an examination in Maths at least of the Matric Std. and passed B.Sc Exam. of an Indian University with not less than two of the subjects PCB (Botany, Zoology). Candidates who are to appear in the qualifying examination before May can also appear provisionally.
Medical Entrance Exam in Andhra Pradesh
- Candidates must be a citizen of India.
- Candidates must belong to Andhra Pradesh and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as per the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974.
- Candidates are required to have passed or should have appeared for the final year Intermediate Examination or equivalent with Chemistry, Physics and Biology as optional subjects including a practical test.
- Lower age limit is 17 yrs as on 31st December of the year of admission while upper age limit is 22 years for all candidates. For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission
Medical Entrance Exam in Assam
- He/she should have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% aggregate marks (for ST/SC 40%) in one sitting.
- Medical fitness is also required.
Medical Entrance Exam in Chandigarh
- Passed Sr. Sec. exam. securing at least 50% (for SC/ST 45%) aggregate marks in PCB and English taken together or Pre-professional/pre-medical examination with PCB after 12th exam. Those awaiting the result of qualifying exam may also apply.
- Medical fitness is also necessary.
- For admission to MBBS/BDS, candidate must have secured at least 50% (40% for SC/BC) in the PMET.
- For admission to BAMS/BHMS: Candidate must have secured at least 40% (33% for SC/BC) in the PMET.
Medical Entrance Exam in Himachal Pradesh
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 or qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST) provided that candidate must have passed English as an elective subject.
- The candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
- Medical fitness is also required.
Medical Entrance Exam in Haryana
- For admission to the MBBS/BDS courses through the Haryana Premedical Entrance Test candidates need to pass the 10+2/ with PCB and English with 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST) in aggregate.
- For admission to the BAMS Courses candidates need to pass the 12th standard with at least 50%(pass marks for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate (33% mark in each subject separately).
- Candidates should study English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Sanskrit at the 12th standard.
- Apart from these educational qualifications candidates need also to be either a bona fide residents of the state of Haryana or a child/ward/dependent of the employees of Indian defense services /Paramilitary Forces belonging to Haryana at the time of entry into their service.
- For the MBBS/BDS Course candidates need not be below 17 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission.
Medical Entrance Exam in Jammu and Kashmir
- 10+2 with English, PCB with 50% (40% for SC Gujjar & Bakawal and those from Leh and Kargil areas) aggregate marks in theory paper only.
- Those awaiting results may also apply.
- Medical fitness is also necessary.
Medical Entrance Exam in Jharkhand
- Candidate should have passed 10+2 exam or equivalent from a recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- The candidate should have Physics, Chemistry & Biology as mandatory subjects.
- He / she should not be less than 17 years of age.
Medical Entrance Exam in Karnataka
- If you are applying for Medical or Dental courses you should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC or 12th Std. with Physics and Mathematics along with any of the optional subjects like, Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Electronics or Biology.
- You should have English as one of the prime subjects.
- If you have secured a minimum of 50% of aggregate marks in the PCB group you are eligible to apply for Karnataka Medical Entrance Test.
- A minimum of 40% in aggregate is required to sit for the exam if you belong to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
Medical Entrance Exam in Kerala
- You should complete 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
- If you have already earned a B.Sc degree with one of the main subjects being, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany or Bio-Chemistry.
- You need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate of the main and optional subjects.
- Even if you have not passed the qualifying examination you can still appear in the exam.
- If you belong to SC/ST categories, you need to score 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology to qualify for the examination.
- In case you are a resident of Kerala you will be categorized as ‘Keralites’ or else you will fall under the category of 'Non-Keralites'.
Medical Entrance Exam in Madhya Pradesh
- Candidates who have passed the 10+2 level exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English with at least 50% ( 40% for reserved category students) marks in aggregate are eligible for admission to the MBBS/BDS Courses.
- Candidates who have appeared for their qualifying exam may also apply.
- Medical fitness is required.
- Candidates should also not be below 17 years of age on 31 December of the year in which he or she is seeking admission.
- Candidates should either be a bonafide resident of Madhya Pradesh or soon /daughter of an employee or retired employee of Madhya Pradesh, an employee who died while in regular services belonging to the Government of Madhya Pradesh/ an Officer of All India Services belonging to Madhya Pradesh cadre/ an employee of Govt of India or Govt of India undertaking who is posted in MP before 1st January of the year of MP PMT/ a person who is settled permanently under some scheme of Govt. OF India or MP Govt./ a military personnel or a person who is a displaced person of Jammu & Kashmir settled in Madhya Pradesh.
Medical Entrance Exam in Maharashtra
- For appearing in MHT-CET, you should be a Class 12 pass-out.
- If you are still a student of Class 12 or an equivalent level in Maharashtra, you can submit the requisition for the brochure and application form to your school or college.
Bharati Vidyapeeth University , Maharashtra
- Passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Exam. (HSC) with at least 50% marks in PCB (40% for SC/ST and pass in English).
- For Admission to MBBS/BDS Course: The candidates should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in PCB taken together in the 10+2 (Science) exam or equivalent.
- For admission to BAMS/BHMS: The candidates should have passed 10+2/HSC of equivalent examination in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in PCB (40% for SC/ST). Candidates who have appeared for qualifying exam and results have not been declared may also apply. Medical fitness is required
Mahatama Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Maharashtra
- For getting admission to MGIMS’s MBBS course, the candidates should be at least 17 years of age by 31st December of the academic year in which taking admission.
- They should pass the 12th Std. under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Hr. Sr. Education Board or any equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects.
- Candidates should also have an aggregate of at least 50% marks (40% in case of SC and ST including VJ & Nomadic Tribes and OBC) Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.
- Candidates appearing for qualifying exam i.e. 12th Std. or equivalent in year of examination are also eligible to sit in the all India Competitive Entrance Examination.
Medical Entrance Exam in Orissa
- Admissions to MBBS/BDS: CourseCandidates should have passed or should be appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or its equivalent with minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Biology Physics and Chemistry.
- The minimum of aggregate marks required for SC/ST candidates is 40% in 10+2 examination.
- Candidates have to be between 17 and 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission. (For SC/ST candidates, age limit can be relaxed up to 3 years).
- Admissions to Pharmacy Course:Candidates must pass (or should be appearing in the year of examination) 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry together with any one of the following subjects: Mathematics/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology.
- Candidates having a Diploma including those with less than 60% aggregate marks from SCTE & VT, Orissa or equivalent are also eligible for admissions to 1st year Pharmacy. Further, they have to appear in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology or Mathematics (or both) in the Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
Medical Entrance Exam in Pondicherry
- For MBBS: 10+2 (Academic/Vocational). English, PCB/Bot. & Zoology with 50% marks aggregate (40% for SC/ST & OBC). Appearing candidates are also eligible to appear in JET.
- For BDS: For 10+2 (Academic/ Vocational) English, PCB/Bot. & Zoology with 50% aggregate marks (40 for SC/ST).
- B. Pharma: 10+2 (Academic/ Vocational) or equivalent exam. with Phy & Chem. Along with one of the following subjects: Maths/Biotech/Comp. Sc./ Bio. (Botany & Zoology) (For Vocational stream- Phy., Foundation Scs. and Medical Lab. Assistant course or Chemistry, Foundation Scs. and Nursing course) along with English as one of the subjects and 50% marks in aggregate( a mere pass for SC/ST candidates).
- For B.Sc. Nursing, BPT and B.Sc. MLT: 10+2 (Academic/ Vocational) or equivalent exam. with PCB/Botany and Zoology.(for Vocational stream – Phy., Foundation Scs. and Medical Lab. Assistant course or Chemistry, Foundation Scs. and Nursing course) along with English and 50% marks in aggregate( 40% SC/ST /OBC).
Medical Entrance Exam in Punjab
- Passed Sr. Sec. exam. securing at least 50% (for SC/ST 45%) aggregate marks in PCB and English taken together or Pre-professional/pre-medical examination with PCB after 12th exam.
- Those awaiting the result of qualifying exam may also apply.
- Medical fitness is also necessary.
Christian Medical College , Punjab
- MBBS / BDS - Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / Intermediate / Equivalent examination from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.
- B Sc Nursing / BPT - Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / Intermediate / Equivalent examination from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% (40% marks in case of SC/ ST/ OBC students) marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with the subject English.
Medical Entrance Exam in Rajasthan
- Sr. Sec (10+2) with Eng. PCB or B.Sc. degree holders with Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Medical fitness is required.
- he candidate must also do his/ her last three years of education from this state.
Medical Entrance Exam in Tamil Nadu
- Students who have passed 12th or equivalent exam and those who are going to appear for such qualifying examination during March-April can apply.
Anamalai University , Tamil Nadu
- Candidates who wish to appear for the entrance exam are required to have passed their HSC examination with Biology or Botany and Zoology, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects.
- Prospective candidates who will be appearing for their HSC or equivalent qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for the entrance examination for that current year.
Medical Entrance Exam in Uttar Pradesh
- Candidate's Educational Qualification should be as per the MCI norms
- Candidate must be 17 years of age and not crossed 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
- Reservation as per Govt. order applicable at the time.
Medical Entrance Exam in Uttaranchal
- Eligibility For MBBS and BDS: - The candidates must have passed the 10+2 i.e ISC/Intermediate examination or equivalent examination with PCB and English with at least 50% marks.
- For BAMS and BHMS: - The candidates who have passed the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible.
Medical Entrance Exam in West Bengal
- You should be at least 17 yrs of age on July 1 of the year of admission.
- A pass certificate of the Higher Secondary exam (General/Vocational stream) is required with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and the 5th subject
- You must have passed both the theory and practical separately. Moreover, if you have appeared in qualifying exam you are also eligible.
- If you have passed the B.Sc exam or its equivalent with two subjects like, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Life Science, Bio-Physics, Bio-Chemistry are also eligible.
Medical Entrance Exam in Varanasi
- Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination, with a minimum of 50% marks in PCB and English taken together (For SC/ST 40%).
- Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Medical Entrance Exam
- Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS and BDS course should have passed the higher secondary or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the subjects Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English.
- Candidates are required to obtain at least 50% marks in aggregate (Chemistry, Biology and Physics taken together) in the entrance examination.
- Candidates should be at least 17 years of age.
Dr. D.Y. Patil University AICET
- Candidates who have cleared class XII or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission.
- For reserved categories only 40% marks is required.
- Candidates should also not be below 17 years of age on 31 December of the year in which he or she is seeking admission.
Islamic Academic Eduation Entrance Exam
- The Candidate should have passed 10+2 for admission in graduation Program from any recognized Board.
Bihar PGMET
- The candidate should have a MBBS Degree from any recognized university.
- There is no age limit for the candidates willing to appear for the Bihar PGMET 2010.
- Candidates employed with government or private organizations are required to produce a “no objection certificate” from the concerned organization to sit for the entrance examination.
BHU Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery Entrance Test
- XII Pass or equivalent candidates having at least 45% marks in aggregate with subjects Biology, Chemistry, English and Physics are eligible to apply.
- For SC/ST candidates only 35% marks is required.
- Candidates should be within 17 to 35 years of age as on 1st September of the year of admission.
Delhi University Super Specilality Entrance Test ( DU SET)
- Candidates who have qualified the Post-Graduate (MD/MS) degree on or before 31st May of the year of admission from any recognized University are eligible to apply.
